  1. Dude, Justified is a much better JT album.

  2. Respectfully disagree. He was really pushing the limit and experimenting on FS/LS, and I can appreciate that.

  3. FS/LS has SexyBack, My Love, LoveStoned, What Goes Around and a couple other quality singles. Justified really only has Rock Your Body and Cry Me a River.

I also like the collaborations on FS/LS better. I'll Timbaland (though I guess he's on both), T.I., Three 6 Mafia and will.i.am over Janet Jackson and Bubba Sparxxx.

Of course it's all just a matter of personal taste. I feel like Justified is kinda more of the same from when he was in 'NSync, which I liked, but I was ready for something new, which was FS/LS.

  4. Justified was fun and promised the rebirth of pop.

FS/LS made that promise a boring lie.

Shame on JT and shame on you, Ben.

  5. Give me a third good single off Justified other than the two I already named.

  6. Senorita off of Justified was sick. The Justified singles all feel like JT is covering different territory while all of the FS/LS singles sound tired and boring. Plus, what's with all the vocal tampering? The dude can sing, stop making him sound like a robot.

  7. I can't even remember Senorita, so maybe it's awesome and I'm just forgetting it.

Yeah, the dude can sing, but that's no reason for him to rest and his laurels and try new things. The audio sweetening was a little much for me at first too, but if you let it sink in, it's not sacrilege.

I don't dislike Justified, but I still maintain it wasn't so much a step forward from 'NSync as a step slightly over to the side.

  8. Exactly! FS/LS was him trying new things...and failing. It's like he was saying, "You know what's not boring enough? My music. Time to fix that." And then he made FS/LS.

Besides, everybody knows Robin Thicke made the best Justified follow-up by doing the sexy album The Evolution of Robin Thicke, anyways.

    Respeck.

  9. Ben, I love your hard-rockin' choices and can forgive your love of boy-band pop, but my inner music snob can't help but say, "James Taylor? Really?" Gimme John Denver any day.
Re: "Back in Black" ... I actually saw AC/DC live this past weekend, and they of course played a ton of tracks off that album. Even "Shoot to Thrill"! They've still got it.

  10. There's actually a sentimental explanatation for my choice of JT, er, JT: he's one of my parents' favorites so his stuff was constantly playing in the Morse household when I was a kid. It's just in my DNA or something.

And you're a lucky man, what with the AC/DC. Of course they still rock! Glad you represented.

  11. Let's get one thing straight: There's only ONE real JT representin' on this blog.
So Justin Timberlake, James Taylor and, uh, Jack Tripper from "Three's Company"—take a hike.
