The current one is too Hulk-like, with the exposed arms combined with pants.

BTW, a Google Images search for "Joe Kelly JLA" reveals several Mahnke-drawn Martian Manhunters.JewBanditnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4978439808729663406.post-76068415952456832022010-12-15T15:41:58.410-05:002010-12-15T15:41:58.410-05:00Nice! Nasser (aka Netzer) briefly drew a very Neal Adamsy J'onn J'onnz backup in the mid 1970s for World's Finest. Badger drew the 1988 J.M. Dematteis mini-series that established the version of Mars (where the entire race had died of plague and was burned by J'onn) that's been used ever since. Baretto drew the character's finest moment, the 1992 American Secrets miniseries written by Gerard Jones. And McDonnell drew a bunch of the "Detroit Era" of JLA.Cole Moore Odellnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4978439808729663406.post-88838529231460704272010-12-15T10:31:03.037-05:002010-12-15T10:31:03.037-05:00I'm a bad Martian Manhunter fan who actually d...I'm a bad Martian Manhunter fan who actually doesn't recognize a few of those names, Cole; I do dig Barretto and McDonnell's stuff (I am a Suicide Squad fan after all), I just didn't read much of their work on the character.

But yeah, everybody's list is different!Ben Morsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14419191228823565831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4978439808729663406.post-77086773626204187912010-12-15T09:33:29.223-05:002010-12-15T09:33:29.223-05:00Spurgeon was right--this is probably not the same ...Spurgeon was right--this is probably not the same as my list, which consists of 1) Joe Certa; 2) Mike Nasser; 3) Eduardo Barretto; 4) Mark Badger; and 5) Luke McDonnell.Cole Moore Odellnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4978439808729663406.post-15602965406753634312010-12-14T12:24:23.006-05:002010-12-14T12:24:23.006-05:00If I did this list a couple years down the line, I...If I did this list a couple years down the line, I'd like to think Patrick Gleason would be on it.

LOL, re: the modesty line, JImmy.Ben Morsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14419191228823565831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4978439808729663406.post-17110489595064324082010-12-14T10:14:25.262-05:002010-12-14T10:14:25.262-05:00Mahnke and Porter's Martian Manhunter are real...Mahnke and Porter's Martian Manhunter are really perfect in my eyes.
